Sandy joined West Chester-based law firm Gawthrop Greenwood PC as a partner in 2009. A short time later, she made headlines as the first woman in Chester County to be elected to manage a mid-sized law firm. Sandy has been honored with several leadership and legal awards including the 2019 March of Dimes Chester County Women of Achievement in Business Award.
Sandy has demonstrated a strong commitment to giving back through decades of service to community organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine and the Global Business Advisors of the Chester County Economic Development Council. Sandy is a member of WISTA USA (Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association) which promotes women in leadership positions.
She is a graduate of Lehigh University (B.S. Finance and B.A. International Studies) and of Villanova University School of Law. Sandy and her husband Charlie have lived in Chester Springs for 28 years. They have two grown children, son Chip and daughter Anna.
